The characters truly shine in this book. Surprisingly, my favorite character was the octopus, which may sound odd, but the author makes it remarkably relatable. The human characters are equally compelling.

Each one has unique thoughts and perspectives on the world. You can feel their struggles and empathize with their attempts to navigate life’s challenges. 

Their viewpoints are understandable which makes them deeply relatable. Read this one if you enjoy stories focused on character relationships and adult development.

It maintains interest with some unexpected twists, but it’s the characters that keep things engaging. The narrative cleverly weaves together these diverse characters which makes the story engaging and cohesive. 

The writing is excellent overall, particularly in its tone and style. It feels like a close friend observing the characters’ lives, with a casual, conversational tone.
